Nancy M. Boldt passed away on Sunday, Mar 1, 2026 at the age of 84 in Ruskin, FL.
Nancy Mae Swan was born on December 3, 1941, in Chicago, IL, to Benjamin and Virginia (Miller) Swan. She graduated from Maine Township High School in Park Ridge, IL, and went on to attend Illinois Wesleyan University, where she was an active member of the AOII sorority and earned her degree in Nursing.
In 1964, Nancy married Robert F. Boldt, and they welcomed two sons, David and Thomas Boldt.
Nancy was a longtime resident of Naperville, IL and Schaumburg, IL, before relocating to Sun City Center, FL, in 2022 to be near her son David. She dedicated many years of her life to her career as a Registered Nurse, caring for others with compassion until health challenges limited her ability to work.
Nancy was an avid bowler, reader, and loved logic puzzles, cross stitch, and crossword puzzles. She loved her pet cats over the years. But most of all, she took great pride in watching each of her grandchildren grow to adulthood, cherishing every opportunity to attend their activities and milestones. Her greatest joy was time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her two sons, David (Lori Hofer) Boldt of Wimauma, FL, and Thomas (Amy Yinger) Boldt of Corrales, NM; her three grandchildren, Rachel (Brian) Gasey of Plant City, FL, Brian Boldt of Wimauma, FL, and Ashley Boldt of Denver, CO; her two great-grandchildren, Aiden Gasey and Ciara Gasey; and her sister, Susan Deran of Schaumburg, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Kathleen Gilio; and an Aunt Janice Meyer.
In accordance with her wishes, no formal services are planned.
