Bernard Okel Johnson “BJ” , 79 of Tampa FL, passed away on August 27, 2026 at LifePath Hospice Sun City.

He was born on January 14th, 1947 in Weirton, West Virginia. He was a truck driver for Murphy’s trucking service in West Palm Beach before moving to Tampa on retirement. He enjoyed fishing, nascar races, building with his hands and hanging out with his family and friends.
 

He was preceded in death by parents, Ray and Iris Johnson.

He is survived by his three children George N Johnson (59) Daniel A Johnson (58) and Brandy A Parmer (54). He leaves behind a lasting legacy through his 6 cherished grandchildren: George N Johnson II (40) Amanda F Hough (39) Nick Johnson (35) Jacob Jonson (33) Krystalyn Jones (24) and Brandie Pearson (35). Beloved great grandchildren: James R Johnson (19) S. Niko.S Hough (11) Annabelle J Johnson (14) Samantha  F Johnson (12) Victoria L Johnson (11) Georgina M Johnson (7) Avarie Pearson(15)  Adalynne Jones (10) and Jaxyn Walker (2)
