Dorothy ‘Dottie’ Neri 06-28-1947~ 08-09-2026, 79, passed away at her home, early in the morning on Sunday August 9th, 2026. She was alert and conscious until the very end. She passed her last breath with dignity and courage while holding hands with her loving son and beloved husband of 27 years Anthony Donohue.
Dorothy was born on June 28, 1947, in Providence, RI. She grew up on Philmont Ave. in Cranston and graduated from Cranston East in 1966.
Dorothy was the daughter of Raphael ‘Ralph’ Neri and Theresa Neri (Sivo), she was the sister of Barbara Neri. She is survived by her only son Damian Barbosa and her devoted husband Anthony Donohue.
Dorothy began her professional career in retail and general manager of Woolworth and Things Remembered. Later in life, Dorothy transferred her management skills and business to real estate, where from 2000 until her retirement and relocation to Florida in Sun City Center. Dorothy ran a small business performing real estate closing transactions as well as managing at least one investment property.
Dorothy loved cooking Italian dishes for family and friends, her famous manicotti was requested at every family event.
